Thorpe Custom Trucks started way back, way back, before it was a chrome shop or a custom fit out workshop, back with my father Lenny Thorpe... with Tuff Truck back in the old days running the Hume before it was an open highway. Taking pride in customising his trucks with little bits and pieces (compared to these days standards) is what he did, which then evolved through me, with my trucks and then the transport company.

Over time, customising trucks, people asked me to do theirs. It started off small with my son joining me with stretch customising trucks, trying to fit this around the maintenance and running of the transport company.
Things really changed and put things into perspective after the Castlemaine Truck Show in 2004, when we released Concord Palms T904 known as 'Micky Elmas'. The feedback was overwhelming and we knew it was time to get serious.
We went out and bought all the machinery and the rest is history.
Now with Tuff Trucks like Lee's 950 'Y So Serious' cleaning up at truck shows and the latest creation 'Life's a Circus' we have stepped outside the box, getting away from old school and going for the new school hot rod trucks in look.
